sew sew

Well I have a new addiction- sewing I can't stop - peg bags, tea cosies, curtains not to mention the advent calender.... I seriously can't stop I don't even use a tea cosy. I will now I love it. I have always made my own curtains but that was were it stopped. My mum taught me but that was all. I didn't realise that I would be able to do anything else. It started with a trip to the knitting sew at Ally Pally. I have always loved fabrics and I was overwelmed by the choice I love the retro and Japanese prints.

I now a small collection which I look through on a daily basis thinking of new ideas and looking through inspirational books. At the moment I love Quilting in No time- Emma Hardy and the Sew sunny homestyle books of Tone Finnanger.

I took the plunge today and bought some tilda fabric from Puddle crafts they have loads to choose from, it did take a few hours to decide. Putting them in my basket then out again... too much choice. Can't wait till they arrive, shame about the post at the moment I'll have to wait ages....
